Description
Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks Kellogg's Sponsor Segment Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1958-61). This remarkably rare black-and-white original production cel is from the early years of the Hanna-Barbera studio when the cartoons featured short Kellogg's sponsor segments for their many cereal brands. Hand-inked and hand-painted, this is an excellent image of Mr. Jinks from the series Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks, a regular segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show. In these black-and-white segments, Mr. Jinks was a regular spokesman for Raisin Bran, voiced by the great Daws Butler doing a variation on a Marlon Brando impression. This 12 field cel features the character at 5.5" tall, displayed on an orange paper background for presentation purposes. The piece is matted with a window size of 9.25" x 7.25" and an overall mat size of 14" x 11". Minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
