Description

Sleeping Beauty Briar Rose Picking Berries Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1959). "I wonder. I wonder. I wonder why each little bird has a someone to sing to... sweet things to..." The lovely Briar Rose picks berries as she hums a beautiful song in this wonderful and rare sequence of three animation drawings from the memorable berry-picking scene of Sleeping Beauty. Created masterfully in graphite on 16-field animation sheets numbered 31, 119, and 219, these marvelous drawings show the iconic character in full figure as she reaches to pick a berry, unaware that her singing is about to attract the attention of Prince Phillip. Although looking small in the film, the drawings offer large images of Briar Rose with her basket, measuring 4.5" to 6" tall. The three drawings present reinforced pegholes and normal age-related toning. A small fold in the upper right corner of drawing 119. Showing minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is overall in Very Good condition.
