Bambi Studio Model Sheets Group of 9 (Walt Disney, 1942). Here's a rare group of studio-used model sheets for one of Disney's most attractive and heart-felt films, Bambi. Several of these sheets feature early designs, and were based on drawings by one of "Walt's Nine Old Men," Marc Davis. These sheets are an important part of the animation process, and printed in small numbers, often on photo print paper as are these. They include: Bambi at Infant Age (dated 5/23/40); Bambi Ruff Ronno Suggestions (adult male deer, dated 5/26/40); Faline Color Separations and Comparative Size (dated 5/25/40); Bambi Comparative Size Mother and Bambi; Comparative Sizes Sheet #45 (dated 12/12/39); Tentative Proportion Chart Bambi (very early sheet, dated 10/22/38); Bird Structure Sheet #42 (dated 12/5/29); Character Suggestions for Chipmunk (dated 10/5/39); and Bunnie (sic) Action Suggestions (dated 11/3/38). All are printed on 14" x 11" photo print paper. Very Good overall condition, with edge waviness and minor handling wear with a few small stains.
