Future GPX Cyber Formula: Early Days Renewal "Winners" Hayato Kazami and Asuka Sugo Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Sunrise, 1996). Here is a spectacular hand-painted original production cel featuring the main characters Hayato Kazami and Asuka Sugo from the 2-episode OVA series Future GPX Cyber Formula: Early Days Renewal. The series was created by Hajime Yatate (the pseudonym for the collective contributions of the Sunrise staff) with direction by Mitsuo Fukuda. It tells the story of racing in the near future, where cars are equipped with computer support systems called "Cyber Systems." This piece can be seen at approximately the 31:11 mark of the episode "Winners." The hand-painted image nearly fills the 12 field cel, and the 2-cel setup is joined by its matching original animation drawing rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper. The cels are stapled together at the top edge, and both the cel and drawing are numbered B8 in the upper right corners. Minor handling and edge wear, and the drawing shows light paint debris and surface scuffing. The condition is Very Good.
