Description

Jurassic Park Pair of Animation Drawings (Universal Studios, 1993). "A hundred million years ago there were mosquitos. Just like today. And, just like today, they fed on the blood of animals. Even dinosaurs." Mr. DNA explains just how the scientists at Jurassic Park were able to bring dinosaurs back to life, and we have two exceptional 12 field 3-peghole animation drawings from that segment in this lot. The animation for the segment was made for Universal by Kurtz & Friends, an animation studio that created film intros and commercial animation for Honey, I Blew Up the Kid, City Slickers, George of the Jungle, the Central Park Zoo, and much more. Each of these animated sequences were directed by the studio's founder Bob Kurtz. The graphite with color pencil drawings are of the dinosaur in the vast prehistoric landscape and the mosquito that has bit it, found at about 1:34 and 1:36 into the segment. They range from nearly the entire page at around 12.5'' x 9.5'' to a detailed .5'' x .25'' and have been numbered A-205 and B-236 in the lower right corner. The lot is a nostalgic trip back to the prehistoric world of Jurassic Park and is in Very Good condition with only light edge and handling wear and a small area of paint debris on one page.
