Savage Tales #1 (Marvel, 1971) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white to white pages. The origin and first appearance of Man-Thing (art by Gray Morrow). Inside the issue there is an adaption of "The Frost-Giant's Daughter" by Robert E. Howard (with Barry Smith art), which was the first appearance of Conan outside of his own comic. John Buscema painted the cover image and also drew the Ka-Zar story. Additional story art by Gene Colan and John Romita Sr. CGC notes, "'Roy Thomas' written on first page in pen." Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $456. CGC census 10/24: 76 in 7.5, 476 higher.
