Description
Trail Mix-Up Baby Herman, Squirrel, and Beaver Story/Concept Art Pair by Thom Enriquez (Walt Disney/Amblin, 1993). "Don't be hugging and kissing that wild animal! They carry rabies and aren't potty-trained! Hey, wait a minute, neither are you!" Baby Herman and Roger took a trip to the great outdoors in Trail Mix-Up, but the little tyke was the only one having any fun after running into insects, beavers, and bears - oh my! The short was the last of the Roger Rabbit shorts after the success of Who Framed Roger Rabbit - despite one more in production and three more in the planning stages - and the only one to be animated digitally. It premiered in theaters on 3/12/1993 before A Far Off Place and was set the same year as the 1988 film: 1947. Thom Enriquez imagines Baby Herman's interactions with the local flora and fauna in the pair of story/concept art here, all rendered in mixed media on 11'' x 8.5'' paper. The first is a series of three full figure drawings of little Herman hugging a squirrel while Roger shouts the quote above. The second has eleven impressive poses and expressions of Baby Herman playing with a beaver and gnawing on a bit of wood with his new friend. The final beaver in the short notably ends up looking like a mix between both animals. The pages are full of adorable and hard-to-find drawings for collectors and fans of the now over 30-year-old short and are in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, a few stray marks, and pinholes.From the Noted Disney Concept and Story Artist Thom Enriquez Collection.
