"Mickey Mouse Anniversary Series 1953 - 1978" Pair of Limited Edition Giclée Prints and Portfolio by John Hench (Walt Disney, 1978). Here's a RARE long-sold-out limited edition double portfolio print set created for Mickey's 50th birthday in 1978. The hardcover portfolio includes two signed Fine Art prints by Disney Legend John Hench (1908 - 2004). The Giclée prints feature Hench's Mickey's 25th and 50th anniversary portraits. John was Mickey Mouse's official corporate portrait artist, having painted Mickey's portrait for his 25th (1953), 50th (1978), 60th (1988), 70th (1998), and finally, 75th (2003) birthdays. In 1999, John Hench celebrated his 60th year with the company! He's one of the few that have their names appear in a window on Main Street in Disneyland. It's above the Main Street Photo Supply and reads, "Plaza School of Art - Instructors - Herbert Ryman - John Hench - Peter Ellenshaw". The prints are a matching numbered set and are hand-numbered 232/750. These limited edition sets were only available to cast members under a lottery system. The prints measure 22.25" x 17.25" each, and the portfolio measures 19.25" x 24.25". The prints are beautifully framed to 27" x 32". Presented in Fine condition, the portfolio exhibits some light edge wear and is in Good condition. All frames are sold as-is.
