Sheep Shape Production Background (Famous Studios, 1946). From the Blackie and Wolfie short Sheep Shape, we have in this lot a spectacular hand-painted production background offering a great image of El Clippo, the club appearing at the beginning of this Noveltoon short. Advertising 30 Beautiful Girls and No Cover, this image of the club shows up at the 0:34 and 3:34 timestamps of the cartoon, wonderfully rendered in gouache on 16-field background board, done by Lloyd Hallock Jr. The lot is offered on a 19.75" x 16.75" mat with a 15" x 11.25" opening, sold as-is. The board has a small piece missing from the top left corner. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
