Description
Sectaurs Title and End Credit Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Ruby-Spears, 1986). Based on the popular series of toys, Sectaurs was created in 1986 by Ruby-Spears Productions as an animated mini-series depicting the world of the Sectaurs. There were only five episodes ever made. The series is somewhat of a cult-classic, with fans petitioning for a reboot in recent years. This is a rare original title/credit cel setup from the series. The setup is composed of three original cels, with two being hand-painted and one even having some hand-inking! The cels are paired with the original Key Master background for the show's title cards. The cel reading "Executive Producers: Joe Ruby and Ken Spears" was used in the end credits for each episode. The rest of the setup, which includes the background, the Sectaurs title, the copyright line, and the character image, were all part of the title cards for each episode. These elements were used in the title card for all five episodes of the mini-series! The background is airbrushed on background board, and it measures 13" x 10.5". The 12 field cels are affixed to the background with tape on their top edge. This rare piece is in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including minor paint wear and some paint transfer on the background.Auction Info
