Description

Paradise Island "Poseidon Fountain" Concept/Pitch Art by Greg Pro for Landmark Entertainment (LED, 1994). This original concept/pitch artwork was created by Greg Pro for Landmark Entertainment's Poseidon Fountain proposal, developed during the mid-1990s. Rendered in gouache on 16" x 17.5" illustration board, the dramatic piece envisions a casino set inside a vast aquarium, with gaming tables beneath massive sea creatures, including a humpback whale and her calf. The design reflects Landmark's bold approach to themed spectacle, blending mythology, immersive environments, and theatrical technology. Between 1993 and 1995, Landmark explored Poseidon- and Atlantis-themed experiences for resort and entertainment clients. The creative DNA of this concept-animated fountains, fire and water effects, statuary, and projection-strongly echoes what would eventually debut in Las Vegas as The Fall of Atlantis at Caesars Forum Shops. Greg Pro, a leading Landmark concept artist, was known for his cinematic compositions that conveyed the emotional drama of an attraction in a single image. This rare, striking artwork is presented in Very Good condition and stands as a vivid artifact of Landmark's ambitious visioning.
