Louis Ravielli (attributed) - Jet Fighters Comic Cover Preliminary Original Art (Avon, c. 1952).Avon's war comics were some of the best, with artwork by Everett Raymond Kinstler, Louis Ravielli, and even a cover or two by Wally Wood! This initial design does not seem to have been used, but it's a dizzying beaut! Rendered in watercolor and ink over graphite on 7.5" x 10.75" Bristol board. Some of the white paint seems to have flecked off of the jet's exhaust. In Very Good condition.
