Description
Pinocchio Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Watch out below!" says Jiminy Cricket, as he and "Donkey Boy" Pinocchio jump into the ocean to begin their search for Geppetto. This is a rare original 12 field 5-peghole tie down drawing of Pinocchio as he jumps into the water with the rock tied to his tail, to keep him from floating to the top. Tie-downs, which can also be referred to as clean-ups depending on the studio/animator's procedures, are for creating a smoother line motion before coloring in the frames. Great 3.5" image with terrific bubble effects. Noted as Production 2003 Sequence 10 Scene 7.1. Graphite with red and green pencil highlights. Minor handling and edge wear.
