Together as a Group Tigger, Piglet, Winnie the Pooh, Roo, Owl, Eeyore, Rabbit, and Kanga Production Cel with Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1981). "Here together, friends forever. Some things were just meant to be, and that's you and me." Winnie the Pooh's iconic theme song lyrics embody the very essence of this original production cel from the education short Together as a Group. Released by the Walt Disney Educational Media Company over 40 years ago, this film was part of a series of shorts produced for classroom use to help educate young students on an assortment of topics. Featured prominently in a moonlit forest clearing are all the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood, Owl, Rabbit, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, Piglet, Tigger, and of course Winnie the Pooh; their combined character size measuring a striking 10" x 3.5". This 12 field acetate cel is paired with its rare original Key Master background which was hand-painted in gouache with airbrush detail and signed by Ron Dias (1937 - 2013). Dias worked as a background artist on several Disney productions and is best known for his contributions to The Secret of NIMH and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The background is numbered 12F and 32 in the lower corners. This setup shows only minor studio handling and edge wear with an overall condition of Very Good.Auction Info
