Description
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Roo Production Cel with Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1977). "Pooh! Piglet!" Says Roo, trying to catch the attention of his friends after he and Tigger got stuck on top of a tree, as seen at the 1:06:20 mark of the movie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. From the beloved Disney anthology film, we have in this lot a wonderful (and extremely rare!) hand-painted production cel of the cheery Roo in his winter clothes, featured on the beautiful Key Master background for the scene. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was released on March 11, 1977, and showed a compilation of various Winnie the Pooh shorts tied together by scenes exclusive to the film. Roo is featured in full figure measuring an outstanding figure size of 5.25" x 5.25" on the 16-field production cel that also shows the linework on the branch on the bottom layer. The Key Master background renders the branch and the sky in gouache on background board measuring 16" x 12.5". The cel has some tape on the top edge and sticker residue in the bottom left corner, away from the art. The Key Master background has a piece trimmed off the bottom right corner. Overall, the lot shows very light handling and edge wear form production and is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
