Description

How to Play Baseball Goofy Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). "The pitcher tries to keep the batter from hitting the ball. To accomplish this, the pitcher holds the ball in such a manner to cause it to curve when thrown." Offered in this lot is a spectacularly dynamic sequence of three animation drawings from the hilarious 1942 short How to Play Baseball. Jack Kinney directed this popular sports-themed cartoon as the first in the "How to..." series. Numbered 134, 314, and 344, the 12-field five-peghole animation sheets show Goofy rendered in graphite and colored pencils, measuring 4" x 6.5", 4.25" x 5.25", and 4.25" x 4.25", respectively, created for the scene at about the 2:52 mark. Showing normal age-related toning and typical handling and edge wear from production, the lot is overall in Very Good condition.
