The Pointer Mickey Mouse Production Cel with Custom-Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1939). Mickey Mouse is ready to go hunting in this lot, featuring a hand-painted and hand-inked cel showing a stupendous full-figure image of the iconic character from the short The Pointer. Renowned for featuring Mickey Mouse with pupils for the first time, designed by Fred Moore, this Clyde Geronimi short debuted on July 21, 1939. Mickey is featured in his hunter outfit, carrying a flashlight as seen at the 8:09 timestamp, measuring a figure size of 2.75" x 3.25", shown on a custom-painted presentation background. This lot is offered on a Plexiglas-fronted 24.75" x 21" frame with a 13.5" x 10" mat opening. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cel is trimmed and shows professional restoration, presenting minor handling and edge wear from production. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
