Description

Robin Hood Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1973). "You know something, Robin? You're taking too many chances." "Chances? You must be joking. That was just a bit of a lark, Little John." The dashing and fearless Robin Hood, voiced by Brian Bedford, from the 1973 animated feature of the same name is the focus of the 16 field production cel in this lot. The character remains the picture of a thief with a heart of gold and his bravery is apparent in this early sequence, found at about 4:44, after he and Little John escape from the Sheriff of Nottingham and his archers. His loyal friend Little John is worried Robin Hood is getting a little too reckless, but to Robin there is no such thing - especially not when challenging the sheriff. He's prepared to take down or evade any guards necessary, even after he so narrowly avoided an arrow to the head. At about 7'' x 9'', the hand-painted cel is numbered 1B and displayed on a print background for presentation purposes. The cel is your way to remember all of Robin Hood's heroic deeds and is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and small ripples along the character.
From the Disney Legend Inductee Andreas Deja Collection.
