SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob Production Cel on "Bubblestand" Production Background (Nickelodeon, 1999). SpongeBob is seen in a HUGE original partially hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field production cel from the first season of this immensely popular animated series. Wow! Hand-painted cels were only used in the first season; all others used digital animation. His approximate image size is 5.25" x 7". The hand-painted gouache background, from which SpongeBob's pineapple house can be seen, is from the second episode "Bubblestand" that first aired on 7/17/1999.
