Peter Pan "The Elegant Captain Hook" Captain Hook Production/Color Model (Walt Disney, 1953). "As a special offer for today, I'll tell you what I'll do. All those who sign without delay will get a free tattoo!" Old Captain Hook is up to his old tricks in this rare original hand-inked and hand-painted trimmed production/color model cel. It's hard to imagine Disney's Peter Pan without the presence of Captain Hook, as every good story needs an antagonist, and Hook is one of Disney's best; his climatic duel with Peter aboard the Jolly Roger is exciting, and seeing Hook in the water with "Tick Tock" the crocodile is satisfying, even though we secretly didn't want the foppish pirate to perish. His image here was created for about 1:02:29 as he tries to convince the Lost Boys, along with John, Michael, and Wendy, to join his pirate crew with all of the amazing tattoos one of his crewmembers has amassed during "The Elegant Captain Hook". That, and the threat of walking the plank. He is approximately 6" x 7.5"; the cel is matted with an opening of 8" x 9" and framed with glass for an overall size of 11.25" x 12.25". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cel is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
