Description

Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Bronze Artists Proof Figure by Bill Toma (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). "One day... when he'd been told by his master to carry water to fill a cauldron, he had the brilliant idea of bringing a broomstick to life to carry the water for him." A brigade of enchanted broomsticks has just been brought to life to carry water for the rarest bronze sculpture celebrating the namesake "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Fantasia! The illustrious Disney Artist Bill Toma, is celebrated for dynamic poses and meticulous details seen throughout his contributions toward the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) and other Disney Fine Art. For this work, Toma has envisioned two uncontrollable, animated brooms descending the legendary Sorcerer's staircase, for a dynamic scene cast in bronze, and accented with varying tones of gold and brown. The final artwork is respectfully mounted atop a polished marble display base. This fine artwork of the show stealing sweepers is an Artists Proof of a larger edition and features Toma's embossed "signature". This bronze is suitable for display by itself, or alongside its companion "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" bronze or the singular broomstick bronze. Standing 9" in diameter and 13" tall, this captivating figure is in Very Good condition, exhibiting few signs of handling or wear, and is a fantastic, timeless tribute to Mickey Mouse's many co-stars in The Sorcerer's Apprentice of Walt Disney's Fantasia.
