Description
Disneyland - Main Street U.S.A. Depot Mickey Mouse Flag. (Walt Disney, 1960s - 1980s). This iconic swallowtail-style Mickey Mouse Flag was once flown from one of the Disneyland Railroad Station platforms on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland! Since 1955, the characteristic Main Street Depot has served as a "marquee" of Disneyland, proudly ornamented with three pertinent styles of flags - a 45-star Flag of the United States of America, the pennon-style Official Flag of Disneyland, and two swallowtail-style Mickey Mouse Flags. This large flag was one (of two) typically flown from either platform side of the Station. This flag is distinctly embroidered on each side with the lovable face of Disneyland's Ambassador Mickey Mouse, as a reminder for all who come to this happy place," that "it all started with a mouse." Like most authentic Disneyland flags produced for the Walt Disney Company during this era, this flag carries a Walt Disney Productions copyright note along its halyard section. Measuring 34.75" x 20.75", this Disneyland artifact is in Very Good condition exhibiting loose threads, soiling, and wear from outdoor Park display, and has a few areas where its textile panels have become detached from the flag.Auction Info
