Description

The Disney Store - The Little Mermaid Scuttle 18" x 19" x 12" Character Display Figure (Walt Disney, c. 1989-2000s). "Whoa! Mermaid off the port bow! Ariel, how you doin', kid?" Scuttle, the self-proclaimed expert on human stuff contemplates the human world in this figure prepared for a thematic display in a location of The Disney Store! Scuttle (originally named "Scuttlebutt") debuted in Walt Disney Feature Animation's The Little Mermaid (1989), the "breakout star" swiftly appearing in tableau within The Disney Store. The first Disney Store opened in 1987, with new locations opening and operating for 34 years, until the last store closed its doors in September 2021. These pieces were never intended for sale to the general public and are of the few salvaged from the memorable retail chain. This figure of the eccentric seagull is made of hand-painted fiberglass. This figural prop measures 18" x 19" x 12" and is in Good condition exhibiting a crack along one wing, small scuffs, pencil marks, chips to painted areas, and other wear, but displays the character of the eccentric seagull in an animated pose. With a bit of care and TLC, an artistic collector could easily revive this Disney Store artifact to its original splendor, making it a standout conversation piece for your collection of Disney memorabilia!
