Description
The Flintstones "The Astr'Nuts" Complete Episode Storyboards and Script Group (Hanna-Barbera, 1961). This amazing lot contains the complete hand-drawn storyboards for the Season 1 Episode 23, "The Astr'Nuts." In it, Fred and Barney accidentally enlist in the military, and are selected to be Stone Age Astronauts! The storyboards are on 12.5" x 10.5" sheets with nine preprinted 3" x 2.325" boxes; the art is in graphite. The sheets are numbered 1 through 40, with an extra sheet numbered 33A; they come in a hand-made custom folder. A small photo print shows Page 39 with a video clip from the scene (with Fred and Barney in their hollowed-out log spacecraft). With the storyboards are the 37-page typed script (typed by voice caster Gayla Toth), with added handwritten notations; there's also a print with info about the episode. This very rare early Flintstones production material has been in the hands of a longtime Hanna-Barbera artist, and is new to the market. If early Hanna-Barbera is your thing, this is a must-have group of Stone Age fun! Condition is Good to Very Good on the storyboards, Very Good to Fine on the script.Auction Info
