"Dear Ken, Since the critics have voted Snow White the best picture for 1938, I thought you might like to stow away the attached copy of Film Daily[...]" Writes Walt Disney to Disney Legend Ken O'Connor (1908 - 1998) in the outstandingly rare inter-office communicate signed by Walt himself, offered in this lot, paired with the very copy of The Film Daily mentioned! This historical document is not only a remembrance of the remarkable success of the first Disney feature film, but it also showcases Walt's pride in this work and his personal care for his employees. Dated to February 4, 1939, this 8.5" x 5.25" document features Walt's heartfelt message to the acclaimed layout artist with his famous signature on the lower area. This copy of copy of The Film Daily, Vol. 75, No. 8, is dated January 12, 1939, it measures 9.5" x 12.25" and features the list of the 10 best pictures of the year according to critics, with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs heading the list with 419 votes. The communicate shows toning on the top edge with a small rust stain from a paper clip. The copy of The Film Daily has a fold crease through the middle. In Good to Very Good condition with light handling and edge wear.
