Description
The Marvel Super Heroes "Let the Stranger Die!" Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner with Nero plus Demon Temple Production Cel and Key Master Background Group of 2 (Marvel/Grantray-Lawrence, 1966). In this group are two original hand-painted 12 field cels and backgrounds from the final 13th episode, segment one "Let the Stranger Die!" which was first shown on 12/2/1966. In the first setup, Roman emperor Nero offers water to Sub-Mariner, who is chained over a fire pit; it can be seen at about the 911 timestamp (the cel with Nero's eyes and mouth has been lost to time). The Temple of the Demon Gods can be found a bit earlier, at the 6:37 mark. Both cels nicely cover the entire area, and both include their Key Master scene-matching gouache on board backgrounds. The setups are in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.From the Mike Glad Museum Collection.
