It's a Small World Costume Design Concept by Alice Davis Print Group of 28 (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). Featured in this lot is a rare collection of 28 prints that proudly display the gorgeous concept art created by Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 - 2022) for the momentous attraction of the 1964-65 New York World's Fair attraction, "It's a Small World.", Alice Davis is known for her contributions along with fellow Disney Legends Mary Blair, Harriet Burns, and Joyce Carlson, in designing the unique consumes for the 150 countries represented in the famous ride. Each of the prints in this lot showcases great images of the Audio-Animatronics wearing their costumes and displaying various notes regarding their creation. The 28 prints range in size from about 14.5" x 17.75" to 17" x 22" and feature the printed design drawings for various South American countries, the Middle East, North Africa, Central Africa, India, Japan, Thailand, Java, and Cambodia. A similar drawing of one of the Middle East costumes is featured on page 223 of Marc Davis' In His Own Words Imagineering the Disney Theme Parks Part 1 by Pete Docter and Christopher Merritt, with prints of the pages and cover included for reference. Also included is a copy The Disney World magazine, Vol. 4, No. 2, featuring cover, back cover, and information on It's a Small World. The prints overall show normal age-related toning, and mild handling and edge wear, with some presenting minor tearing.
