Mickey's Mechanical Man RARE Early Original Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1933). If you're looking for a rare original model sheet, you've come to the right place! We're proud to present this beautiful early original model sheet from the Wilfred Jackson directed short Mickey's Mechanical Man, released on 6/17/1933. The short followed Mickey's robot, Champ, as he fought against Beppo the Gorilla in an epic boxing match. The sheet would have been created before the model department was officially established and prints would have been made from this original to be passed around and help to keep the characters consistent throughout the theatrical short. This sheet includes a size comparison for Mickey, Champ, and the "Kongo Killer" Beppo as well as seven full figure, dynamic poses of the robot fighting. The model sheet notably features an early version of the title "Mickey's Mechanical Marvel" and an semi-erased Dippy Dawg/Goofy, who wasn't used as a central character in the short. The model sheet has been rendered in graphite with small corrections made in white paint and is noted UM 14 next to the early short title and along the bottom edge. The drawings are rendered on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper floated in a 12.25'' x 10'' mat window and 24'' x 21'' Plexiglas-fronted frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. It can't be overstated how rare it is to find these original model sheets, much less ones from the early 1930s like this.
