Golden Boy "Computer Studies" Madame President Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (A.P.P.P., 1995). "It took me three months to write that important program!" With best intentions in mind, Kintaro turns off the president's computer and the company server, making it so that the company loses the code they've been working so hard to complete, fully enraging the president. Seen at the 17:53 mark of the first episode of Golden Boy, titled "Computer Studies," we get this astonishingly large image of Madame President angered by the Kintaro's naïve attempts to help. The software engineer measures a fantastic image size of 10" x 9.25" on the 13.5" x 12" hand-painted production cel setup, featured on the Key Master background seen during the pan-out shot. Four of the setup layers feature subtle airbrushing to give the gouache-painted background a blazing effect. The layers of the setup are stapled to the background by the top edge, the setup shows light surface scuffing that doesn't affect the art, and the background shows pinholes in the top corners and the bottom left corner. The lot shows very light handling wear from production and it's in Very Good condition.
