Description
The End of Evangelion Eva Unit 02 Production Cel Group of 2 (Gainax, 1997). Viciously attacked by the Mass Production Evas, the Eva 02 lies unable to move as the monstrous Evas tear it down in a vulture-like fashion, exposing its innards. The gruesome scene is one of the most shocking in the animated movie, and featured in this lot are two hand-painted production cels showing the Eva 02's tragic fate. Numbered B6 and B15, the hand-painted 12 field-sized production cels have the Eva 02 measuring 9.25" x 8" and 10.25" x 7.75", respectively, showing with great detail the entrails of the mech with the purple blood rendered with a splattered effect, as seen starting at the 39:36 mark of the film. Both cels are presented on printed copies of the Eva 02's head. Overall, the lot shows light fading on the linework and minor handling wear from production. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
