Description
Richard Scarry Brave Cowboy Bill Little Golden Book #93 Original 2-Page Illustration (Simon & Schuster, 1950). "Of all the hands on the Bar H Ranch, the bravest was brave Cowboy Bill." Here's our pint-sized hero rounding up three bad guys for the Sheriff in a fantastic original illustration by the great Richard Scarry. The story was written by Kathryn and Byron Jackson and has long been a favorite with young boys, but it's Scarry's great stylized painted images of Cowboy Bill that have made this book memorable. This double-page spread for pages 8 and 9 is a great example and looks superb as a stand-alone illustration. The art is painted in gouache on illustration board with an approximate image size of 12.75" x 7.25" with a space at the bottom of page 8 for text. A color copy of the book's front cover is included. The art is in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.Auction Info
