Neon Genesis Evangelion "Rei, Beyond the Heart" Eva Unit 00 Production Cel (Gainax, 1995). The initial orange-colored version of the Eva 00 takes the spotlight in this lot with a hand-painted production cel from the Neon Genesis Evangelion episode "Rei, Beyond the Heart." After protecting Shinji during "Decisive Battle in Tokyo-3," the Evangelion Unit 00 has its armor severely damaged, and it stops appearing until "In the Still Darkness," when it reappears with the new armor. This fantastic close-up of the mech has Unit 00 measuring an incredible image size of 10" x 6.75" on the 12-field production cel numbered A8 in the top right corner. This lot is offered on a printed background for presentation purposes. Some fading can be seen on the linework, the cel has some paint residue from a different cel layer not included with the lot, and it presents faint surface scuffing that doesn't affect the art. In Very good condition with minor handling wear from production.
