Doraemon Doraemon Production Cel with Production Background (Shin-Ei Animation, c. 1979-2005). Sent from the 22nd century, Doraemon is on a mission to save Nobita Nobi from a future life of poverty due to his lazy tendencies. The robotic cat from the future has an incredible amount of gadgets in his 4th-dimensional pocket to help Nobita overcome his bad habits, although more often than not, they will be used for some kind of mischief. The iconic blue robot is showcased in this spectacular production cel presented on a vibrant original production background, possibly from the series. The background is rendered beautifully in gouache on board, and it is numbered 2B-104 in the upper right corner. Numbered c93, 95, and A17, the 12 field cel shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use, and it is stapled to the background at the corners. An excellent centered image of the cultural phenomenon Doraemon on a sunburst production background! The background shows a light fold in the lower right, and the overall condition is Very Good.
