Frankenweenie Sparky Character Concept Drawing by Mike Gabriel Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 2012). Sparky, the resurrected Bull Terrier from Tim Burton's 2012 Disney film Frankenweenie, comes back to life in this wonderfully spooky lot, offering a sensational collection of three concept drawings created by the famous animator, concept artist, and director Mike Gabriel. Best known for his work directing the Academy Award-winning short Lorenzo and co-directing Pocahontas, Gabriel started his career on Disney as an assistant animator on The Fox and the Hound and later as character animator on The Black Cauldron and The Great Mouse Detective. Crafted to develop the character design for Sparky, these three concept drawings offer different preliminary versions of the character, stylized to echo Burton's emblematic style, all rendered in ink on 8.5" x 11" paper. The sheets present light handling and edge wear from production and are in Very good condition.From the Disney Feature Animation Director Mike Gabriel Collection.
