Description
Zipping Along Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1953). The desert highway stretches to the horizon in this hand-painted production background from a classic Road Runner cartoon. This was the third appearance of Chuck Jones' Road Runner and Coyote in a theatrical short. Offered here is the background from the scene at the 3:03 mark as the Road Runner approaches from the distance. It is painted in gouache on 12 field 2-peghole background board. It's an instantly recognizable setting for any Road Runner and Coyote fan. Minor handling, pinholes and toning. There is a small bit of brown paint on the roadway in the foreground.
