Description

The Little Mermaid Ariel Rough Original Animation Drawing Signed by Glen Keane (Walt Disney, 1989). Ariel's smile is picture-perfect in this gorgeous 12 field rough animation drawing. It's almost enough to make you smile with her! This original drawing was created by Disney Legend Glen Keane. Keane was Ariel's designer and supervising animator with an impressive list of feature films to his credit after his nearly five-decade-long career at Disney, starting with The Rescuers in 1977 and ending with Wreck-It Ralph in 2012. He signed and dedicated this page along the bottom border. The dedication, likely to animator and art director Serge Michaels, reads "To Serge, keep your drawings alive!" The sweet graphite drawing looks to reference the moment at around the 49:07 mark when the prince realizes there's something familiar about this girl he found on the beach. The newly human Ariel can only give him a wide smile as he questions her, her voice under the sea with Ursula. Ariel measures around 4.75'' x 7''. There is mild age-related toning and small areas of tape along the borders. This marvelous drawing is in Good condition overall.
