Bugs Bunny Drawing by Robert McKimson (Warner Brothers, c. 1960s-70s). That carrot-craving rabbit star of the cartoons, Bugs Bunny gets the spotlight in this original drawing by legendary animation director Robert McKimson (1910 - 1977). Mr. McKimson was with Warner Brothers' animation studios from its inception with the very first Bosco cartoon in 1930, to the final Looney Tunes short in 1969. He worked his way from ink and paint artist to animator, graduating to directing in 1946. He began working with Bugs that same year, starting with Acrobatty Bunny. This drawing is in graphite on 12 field 3-peghole paper, with a full-figure image of Bugs in a casual pose with his carrot, looking as if he just uttered his classic catch-phrase, "What's up Doc?" The figure size is approximately 6.5". A photocopied Letter of Authenticity from Robert McKimson Jr. is included. Very Good condition with a light fold crease under the figure and minor handling wear.Auction Info
