Description
The Jungle Book Album Cover Concept Art (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Mowgli and Shere Khan greet each other in this pair of album cover concept drawings. The first is a full-sized drawing of these unlikely friends, tightly rendered, with sketched-in background, all in graphite on heavyweight paper, measuring 15" x 16"; the lined border area is 12" x 12", with the image extending beyond the borders. The second piece is a color comp drawn on onionskin paper; art is in blue and red pencil, with an image area of 7.5" x 7.5". A revision drawing of Shere Khan is overlayed on a separate piece of taped-on paper; a photocopy is taped over the original rendering, where Khan is laying down rather than standing up.
