Description
Walt Disney Mickey Mouse and Three Little Pigs Inscribed Print (Disney, 1930s). A well-preserved promotional item, this pre-printed festive scene was designed with a blank dialogue balloon to allow a personalized inscription. This one is inscribed to a fan named Helen Turner. Pictured are (from left) Fifer Pig, Fiddler Pig, Practical Pig, Pluto the Pup, and Mickey Mouse his ownself. The pig drawings are based upon the characters' appearances on the cover of a near-simultaneous Three Little Pigs book, as designed by supervising animator Ubbe Iweks and lead animator Art Babbitt. (The Disney signature at lower right is part of the printing process.) Faithful reproduction of the ink drawing and watercolor embellishments. Mounted to a sheet of manila envelope paper. Image area, 9" x 7". Noticeable age-toning at right and lower margins, extending into image. Very Good condition.Auction Info
