Description

Gladys Parker Mopsy Daily Comic Strip dated 11-22-63 (Bell, 1963). Fashion designer Parker, at 53 in 1963, persisted in caricaturing herself as the youthful Mopsy -- a character she had invented in 1939 after fellow artist Rube Goldberg remarked that her bobbed hairdo reminded him of a mop. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area, 8.5" x 10". There is light toning, with faint smudging, and handling wear. In Excellent condition
