Frank Godwin Rusty Riley Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-14-53 (King Features Syndicate, 1953). Beautifully detailed, realistic artwork from Frank Godwin in this Rusty Riley Sunday. Rusty loses hope of a new job with the sale of his horse, but finds the buyer is represented by Tex. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 23" x 16.25". The toned board has a stat title paste-up, which is losing adherence, production tape marks on the sides and in the first margins, text correction paste-ups in Panel 4, pinholes and staining, with edge and handling wear.
