Description

George Wunder Terry and the Pirates Daily Comic Strip dated 9-28-54 Original Art (News Syndicate Co., Inc., 1954). Wunder had considered creator Milton Caniff a tough act to follow when Caniff left Terry to launch Steve Canyon. Wunder need not have worried, for he proved a perfect match for this seminal military-adventure feature. (Caniff considered Wunder an excellent storyteller.) This suspenseful episode finds enemy agents preparing to crash-land an airplane in a densely populated area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 21.75" x 6.5". Light toning. Excellent condition.
