Frederic Rodrigo Gruger Suite of 4 Character Studies Original Art (c. 1920s). A key influence upon such next-generation comics artists as Wally Wood and George Evans, Gruger's unique gift for pencil-driven photorealism graced many a story during the heyday of magazine fiction. Here are four of his finer efforts, of undocumented publishing pedigree. Each is stamped on reverse as coming from the Gruger Estate, Graphite on off-white, textured stock.
