Description

Dorman Smith Editorial Cartoon Illustration Original Art (NEA, undated). Dorman Smith started his cartooning career at the Des Moines News working there until 1919 when became the chief editorial cartoonist for the Newspaper Enterprise Association, or NEA. In 1927 he moved over to the Hearst papers. In 1941, Smith started a second stint at NEA and remained there until his death in 1956. The image area of this bold cartoon is 16.5" x 19", and the art is in Very Good condition. From the Estate of Charles Martignette.
