Description

Alex Kotzky Apartment 3-G Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-15 (Field Enterprises Syndicate, c. 1960-70s). Kotzky was tops at drawing sleek soap-opera comics. This entry catches him at the top of his form. Strong suspense, a malicious villain, and an innocent fish-out-of-water victim lend themselves to terrific narrative momentum. Ink over graphite on two tiers of Bristol board (taped together at reverse). Image area, 20" x 14". Signed and dated in the lower left. Title logotype is missing. The stock shows moderate toning and a stained horizontal seam. Condition: Very Good.
