Detective Comics #76 (DC, 1943) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. You can see that everyone's favorite Funny Man of Felony, the Joker, appears in this issue, but what's not as apparent is that this issue's got a bonanza for Simon and Kirby fans, as the Boy Commandos story guest-stars another S&K kid group, the Newsboy Legion (sorry, no Boy Explorers, Young Allies, etc. etc.). Meanwhile, Jerry Robinson handled cover and interior art chores on Batman. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $507; VF 8.0 value = $1,056. CGC census 3/06: 2 in 7.0, 8 higher.
