Savage Tales #1 (Marvel, 1971) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white pages. The origin and first appearance of Man-Thing (art by Gray Morrow). Inside the issue there is an adaption of "The Frost-Giant's Daughter" by Robert E. Howard (with Barry Smith art), the first appearance of Conan outside of his own comic. John Buscema painted the cover image, and a Ka-Zar story. Smith, Morrow, Gene Colan, and John Romita Sr. art. Overstreet 2022 VF/NM 9.0 value = $770; NM- 9.2 value = $1,200.
