Howie Post The Dropouts Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-28-71 (United Feature Syndicate, 1971). Even on a semi-deserted island, the pop-culture references intrude upon the routine chores. Post, the master gagman of Harvey Comics, already had made the transition to virile high adventure (with Anthro, at DC Comics), and here his adaptability to a daily-strip setting found the artist ideally suited to any such medium. Ink and Zipatone shading film over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20" x 5.5". Excellent condition.Auction Info
