Description

Arthur Ferrier The Affairs of Eve Daily Comic Strip Original Art #A248 (London Sunday Pictorial, 1954). Even a daily strip can have a splash panel. That's the case with this sterling first episode of a new adventure for the actress-heroine known as Eve, "Target for TV." Scotsman Ferrier specialized in glamour cartoons, dating from 1930. The Affairs of Eve remains a crowning accomplishment, as this impeccably designed example demonstrates. (Month and date are not documented, but the strip's serial number corresponds with the mid-1954 season.) Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 18.5" x 6". Faint toning. One pasted-in lettering correction (panel 3) shows scuffing. Excellent condition.
