Description
Ken Ernst Mary Worth Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-24 (Publishers Syndicate, 1958?). Mary Worth was a trend setting comic strip in that it opened the doors for non-violent soap opera-style strips. Ken Ernst took over the art chores from Dale Connor in 1942 and continued to draw it until his death in 1985. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 18.5" x 6". Overall toning, moisture rippling, some handling wear, and soiling on the left margin. Personalized and signed by writer/creator Allen Saunders in the top margin, and into the final panel.
